Why?

When my children were beginning to talk and started asking questions, I made a promise that I would not respond to their questions, “Because I said!”. Of course, this became more challenging when they were teens, but it started out being a great opportunity to help shape their understanding, patience, problem solving and growth.

Explaining why things were the way they were built relationship between us and I feel that it really matured them as individuals as well as their vocabulary.

These days I find myself asking why…and I don’t always get a clear answer. However, if I’m patient enough and look in the right place for understanding and seek the right Problem Solver, answers come.

So sometimes refrain from asking why. Just WAIT.
