Battle
As believers in Christ, we have heard “The battle is already won”, but I’d like to remind us that the Bible states that the battle is the Lord’s. It’s my belief that that statement is multiplied throughout the Word. Thus, driving each of us to sharpen our swords, ready our armor and stand firm on the Rock.
Knowing that all things are directed by a sovereign God is what gives confidence in the faith that He has overcome the world. John 16:33
We are commanded to put God first, and love others. In that command, there is strength in the confidence of our salvation that enables us to stand firm in the Truth. Allow our salvation to give us understanding and strength through the Holy Spirit’s guidance with discernment, patience and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7
Our human/flesh desires and reactions may thwart our process, but never fear, God is more powerful and forgiving. He continually prepares us as we learn to seek His help. Ephesians 6:10-18
Thankfully, gratefully, we can count on Him. Romans 8:31
Questions you can ask:
What does it mean to be a “believer in Christ”?
What is “the Word”?
What is “our sword, armor and Rock”?
How are we “commanded”?
What is “salvation”?
What is “Truth”?
How can one gain strength from a “Holy Spirit”?
How can we “seek His help”?
These are questions that should be clearly answered and understood. “IYKYK” would take on more importance with this wisdom than the random needless knowledge this world unites itself with.
